How to get Baskin Robbins Ice Cream for .31 cents tonight!

No it is not the waffle cone, it is the regular single serve cone but I couldn’t get those image locations.

Join us for 31 Cent Scoop Night at Baskin-Robbins®
and help us honor America’s firefighters.
Participating stores will reduce prices of small ice
cream scoops to 31 cents.* At some locations, you
may also have an opportunity to make a donation
to your local fire charities.

Baskin Robbins

I already called our local store and they said yes they are participating. It is between 5-10 tonight!

We are heading out to Las Vegas soon!

I am feeling alot more calm than I was yesterday, thank God. Keep the prayers coming. I was so upset yesterday Joey thought maybe we should just call the whole thing off. But I kept telling myself, “I can do all things thru Christ which strengthens me.” If I don’t go I know I would be kicking myself forever about this. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to finish getting ready and Joey is still sleeping!

I will be gone for a few days so if you leave a comment on the blog just know that I am away. 😀 Have a great weekend everyone! What are your plans for the weekend?

Frugal Friday: Frugal Fun!

WOW! I actually thought of something frugal to share with everyone today. I have always loved popcorn! What I hate as I have become more health conscious is all the stuff they put into microwave popcorn bags. Yes there is still air popping but I don’t have one of those. So this is what I do. I buy about 100 brown bags from the local Walmart or Target, then I buy a big bag of popcorn kernels from the store. We use a stapler to close the bag up.

How to make Outback Steakhouse Bread …

That is NOT my picture. I couldn’t find one of the bread online. Okay so I have not tried this recipe. I am posting this for a friend who asked if I have this recipe or something similiar. I found this on a board I frequent called Prairie Homemaker. The poster who posted this is riverwalk. Here is a link to the thread but you need to be registered I believe to view anything. I have no clue if this is authentic, or similiar or who’s recipe this is. I will have to try it once I get ahold of some rye flour. I love the outback bread as well! If anyone reads this and trys it let me know!

Thursday, Friday and Saturday are kind of up in the air. My older half brother who lives in Germany who I haven’t seen since I was 15 is going to be in Las Vegas this weekend. So we are going out there Thursday or Friday. Haven’t decided which day yet. SO more than likely we will be eating dinner at some buffet. I will report how my trip goes later!!

Enchiladas & Spanish Rice

*edited to add Let me preface this by saying this is my husbands plate and not mine. Mine you probably wouldn’t of been able to see any cheese on it cause I ration my enchilada very carefully. Someone has to count the calories in this house! I measure out a smidge of sour cream too.

If you haven’t noticed I adore just about anything with cheese. I also love Mexican food. Tacos & enchiladas are my favorite. Tamales are too but whenever I go to a Mexican rest. I always order a shredded beef taco and a beef enchilada.

I was updating my blog’s sidebar yesterday and putting in more pics and going over stuff and by golly I inspired myself! LOL I was putting up a picture of my home made enchilada sauce and I said, “That looks good!”

Devil’s Food White Out Layer Cake

This is my picture of Dorie Greenspan’s cake. She also chose to use this cake for the cover of her book, Baking, From My Home to Yours.

This was the book I picked out and Joey got me for Valentines day. I was so excited waiting for it and was going to make it for us on V~ day and I was so disappointed that I did not get it in time that I haven’t made anything from the book, let alone that cake. The rolling pin I ordered, which originally was going to take an extra few weeks, got there BEFORE the book!
