How to Help Stop California bill to arrest good parents

As some of you know, California is trying to pass this bill to stop people from spanking their children. I am no advocate of child abuse. There are times when children do need to be disciplined, which is NOT child abuse. I believe the Bible has it right with the following scriptures:

Prov 13:24: “He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

Prov 19:18: “Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.”

Prov 22:15: “Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.”

Prov 23:13: “Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.

Prov 23:14: “Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.”

Prov 29:15: “The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

Hebrews 12:6-7: “…the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son. Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?

Today I came across this website, campaign for children and families. I found a link where they have a letter that from their website, will:

Send a powerful, pre-written email message opposing AB 2943 to all 17 members of the Assembly Appropriations CommitteeStop California bill to arrest good parents”

All you have to do is click the link, add a note if you like, and fill out your information. I also wanted to say that I am pro spanking, not abusing. That being said, the people who would truly hurt children will do so anyway, whether it is against the law or not. It is against the law to rape, murder, steal, kidnap, etc, yet our prisons are still full of such people.

Kind of like the whole gun situation, the people who use guns to commit crimes get ahold of guns illegally anyways. JMO.
